On the morning of May 13, the 10th Vietnam International Advertising Equipment and Technology Exhibition – VietAd 2026 – Hanoi and the 3rd Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition – VPPE 2026 officially opened in Hanoi. The event creates opportunities for business networking, technology transfer, and promotes linkages across the advertising, paper, and packaging industries.

The event was attended by representatives of management agencies, industry associations, and a large number of enterprises operating in the advertising, paper, packaging, printing, and technology sectors from Vietnam and abroad.

Gathering Nearly 500 Brands, Showcasing a Wide Range of Modern Technologies

According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s exhibition series brings together nearly 500 brands from many countries and territories, including Germany, the United States, Sweden, Finland, Japan, China, Singapore, and others, with a total scale of more than 500 booths.

Among them, VietAd 2026 features approximately 150 booths, focusing on introducing modern advertising technologies such as digital printing machines, laser cutting and engraving machines, LED technology and smart displays, advertising materials, heat transfer printing solutions, advertising installation equipment, and next-generation projection technologies.

Alongside VietAd, VPPE 2026 brings together approximately 350 booths, displaying a wide range of technologies in the paper and packaging sectors, including paper production lines, printing technologies, packaging equipment, packaging materials, recycling solutions, green manufacturing technologies, and automation technologies in the paper industry.

The business atmosphere on the opening day was vibrant as many enterprises continuously connected, exchanged cooperation information, and explored new technologies. Many booths of foreign enterprises attracted large numbers of visitors through live demonstrations of modern equipment, production lines, and manufacturing solutions.

Speaking at the event, journalist and director Nguyen Truong Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association, stated that VietAd is an important annual event of the Vietnam Advertising Association and is also the only specialized advertising exhibition in Vietnam recognized by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) as meeting international standards.

Through 10 editions in Hanoi and 15 editions in Ho Chi Minh City, VietAd has become a reputable trade bridge for the domestic and international advertising business community. It is a place where enterprises directly introduce new technologies, equipment, and machinery, while helping visitors find suitable solutions to support their production and business activities.

Accompanying VietAd 2026, the Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition – VPPE 2026 is being organized in Hanoi for the first time after two successful editions in Southern Vietnam, opening up more opportunities for connection for the paper and packaging business community in the Northern market.

According to Mr. Son, in the context of manufacturing industries shifting toward green transformation, digitalization, and supply chain optimization, the linkage between the advertising, paper, and packaging industries is becoming increasingly necessary.

"Through the two exhibitions, we expect enterprises to have more opportunities to access new technology trends, expand cooperation, promote technology transfer, and increase business networking opportunities with domestic as well as international partners," emphasized the Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association.

Promoting Green Transformation, Expanding Connectivity and International Cooperation

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Trung Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, stated that VPPE 2026 is not only a place to introduce new machinery, equipment, and technologies, but also creates conditions for enterprises to update green production trends, connect with leading technology corporations, and access solutions in automation, wastewater treatment, production optimization, and production line digitalization.

This year’s exhibition also features many in-depth technical seminars with the participation of economic experts, technology experts, and business representatives from Vietnam and abroad to discuss sustainable development solutions for Vietnam’s paper and packaging industries.

"The simultaneous organization of the paper, packaging, and advertising exhibitions demonstrates the increasingly close linkage among sectors within the production and trade chain, thereby opening up more opportunities for cooperation, technology transfer, and market development for enterprises," emphasized the Chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of management agencies and industry associations highly appreciated the simultaneous organization of VietAd 2026 and VPPE 2026, noting that this is not only a trade promotion activity but also contributes to promoting industry linkages, green transformation, and expanding international cooperation opportunities for enterprises.

According to Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director General of the Department of Grassroots Culture and Family Affairs, the simultaneous organization of the two exhibitions not only creates a space for technology display but also expands connections among businesses, creative professionals, and technology providers, contributing to the formation of a modern cultural industry ecosystem.

"This is not only a place to introduce new products, equipment, and technologies, but also a space for exchange, cooperation, and expanding development opportunities for the domestic and international business community," Mr. Huy shared.

From the perspective of trade promotion, Vu Ba Phu, Director General of the Trade Promotion Agency, stated that together with the development of industrial manufacturing, logistics, and e-commerce, demand for industrial paper, high-quality packaging, smart packaging, and modern advertising solutions is increasing rapidly in many international markets, creating substantial opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises.

However, enterprises today compete not only on price but must also improve product quality, innovate technologies, build brands, and adapt to new consumption trends in international markets.

"Trade promotion activities, brand promotion, and business networking are playing a very important role in supporting enterprises to expand markets, find partners, and enhance competitiveness," Mr. Phu emphasized.

The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also highly appreciated the coordination among industry associations in jointly organizing VietAd 2026 and VPPE 2026, thereby creating an inter-industry networking space connecting the advertising, paper, and packaging sectors; creating conditions for enterprises to expand markets, diversify partnerships, and participate more deeply in regional and global supply chains.

Taking place from May 13 to May 15, the exhibition series also features numerous conferences, specialized seminars, business matching activities, student exchange programs, and trade promotion activities. The event is expected to attract a large number of professional visitors from Vietnam and abroad.
